Hoffman has been a leader in providing training and extended benefits for laid-off steelworkers. Fighting Against Senior Abuse: A former prosecutor and law enforcement official, Jay sponsored a bill to help elderly and disabled victims of financial exploitation get the justice they deserve. Putting Metro East Schools First: Throughout the state budget crisis, Jay Hoffman was a leading voice to ensure that Metro East schools received their fare share of funding. A Voice for Veterans: Jay has always been there for those who answered the call for our freedom. Jay took part in a bi-partisan task force that is working to end the tragic epidemic of veteran suicides.
